Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information
- Assist with patient assessments and develop care plans
- Provide wound care and perform dressing changes
- Administer injections and immunizations
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures and self-care techniques
- Document patient interactions, treatments, and progress in medical records
Experience
- Minimum of 2 year of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse is a plus
- Proficient in HospiceMD software and documentation
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for infection control
- Experience in patient assessment and monitoring
- Experience in memory care
- Knowledge of primary care principles
